YAYYY!!! omg this took forever to do!! well...not forever....i mean there was a deadline of 13 days.....but it def took the better part of my week lol, 3 days of shooting, 1 full day of editing, 4 different locations, and 5 different costume changes >< lol

sooo yeah, this was a dance cover contest by one of my all time favourite kpop groups big bang for their new song fantastic baby. im not the greatest dancer but i wanted to enter cause i love them and i wanted to use my creativity and cosplay abilities for my entry heh heh.

my concept was I CANT FIND 4 PEOPLE TO DANCE WITH ME SO IM GOING TO BECOME EVERY SINGLE MEMBER *twitch twitch* lol due to time constraints i decided it would be best to limit my team to 2, possibly 3 people, someone to shoot, and someone to be a random sexy dancer for me. i did my best to emulate female versions of each member using what clothing, wigs, and props i had available to me (between myself and friends). (side note, the blonde wig was horrendous to dance in so i apologize for the awkwardness of that part)

soooo yeah, this is the end result!! i hope people like it, i worked really hard on it

So C4 2011 just finished up this past weekend (28th-30th) and man what a weekend!! i literally couldnt move monday morning, every muscle in my body hurt, thats how you know that it was a kick ass convention lol XP

Friday started out nice and easy, got there around 4:00, wore Kaliel from Rhiannon's The Ferrymen and the Flame book series at her request and hung out at her table helping her promote and sell her newly published series, while also showing off the book trailer Abby and i had just finished putting together. Didnt spend a lot of money or see any celebs on this day, so it was very much a relaxing day, angelica and i went to boston pizza for dinner and called it a night pretty early.

Saturday hits....wow this day was crazy XD i told angelica that i would be her trusty assistant all weekend and man did she need it!! there were plenty of volunteers helping her but she needed all the help she could get, keeping that room organized and running to schedule all the while trying to get water and mics from the convention staff oooiii it was not an easy day ill tell ya. On the plus side we got to be up close and personal with many of the celeb guests. Best moment of saturday was prob Kevin Sorbo's panel (unfortunately his panel was the only one i got to watch fully ). First off, i must say, Kevin Sorbo was by far the friendliest, most enthusiastic guest of the entire convention, seriously, he was so happy to meet his fans up here in the peg, and we were even happier to meet him . i got to shake his hand and take a picture with him, and once his panel started (since nobody was there to announce him) he crawled under the table with the microphone and announced himself XD lol omg soooo funny, what a great guy. after all the awesomeness that was Kevin Sorbo, we had to organize the costume contest...oii....this was a mess and a half for the most part.....see how this programing room worked was u had to get tickets from the info desk to get in, they were free of course but most ppl didnt know that so it was my job to keep the line in order and make sure people had tickets. once tickets were gone (sold out per say) i was telling people to hang out near the entrance and once we let in overflow seating they could get seats. See this is how every panel for the whole day worked, so i was confident in my statement, however i get informed about 10 mins before the contest starts that oh no apparently we arent allowed to let in overflow and blah blah blah so i had to get mike (creater of C4) to come down to clear up what i assumed was a misunderstanding, no way were all these people gonna miss out on the contest and no way have i been feeding them wrong information for the past half hour ><. luckily that got sorted, i was right (WIN!!) and everyone who was in the overflow line got in, to celebrate their admission costed 1 high five per person heh heh . after the contest (which is where most our energy went) there was one last panel which meant we were stuck there till 10 -_- non of us were pleased with this cause we were friggin tired, angelica got really upset, the whole days chaos finally hit her so mike and his wife violet took us out for food after during which mike promised us both a hug from kevin sorbo and me a free autograph from a guest i was super unhappy i couldnt see earlier, Bret 'the Hitman' Hart . After driving angelica home i got home around 1:30 and went to bed promptly.

Now comes sunday, an early morning of an 8 am wake up call and straight into shower and sexy female spock (opps, forgot to mention i wore my white phoenix costume on saturday ), lots of make up and some vulcan ears later i was running a bit late but still on my way, eating a granola bar in the car (remember that granola bar, its the only food i consumed till i got home at around 11pm). anyways, so in costume, i get to the convention only 10 mins late, help jello get dressed and then head out find mike to cash in on the promises from the night before so we both hugged Kevin Sorbo, who was once again in super good spirits, then i went to wait for my autograph and meeting with the Hitman . well Bret was about an hour late, so i was getting a little antsy knowing i had to get back to work, and worst of all he goes straight into the ring to take pictures with people rather than autographs! so i talk to the people in charge of his booth, explain my situation and they let me cut the line to get my autograph yayyy got to shake his hand and tell him what a big fan i am!! one of the best moments of the day (but not THE best...that comes later). i meet up with angelica in the arena for some klingon belly dancing performance and i run into EVERYONE i know whos at the convention!! my parents, my friend sabrina, two old coworkers (one i never thought id see at comic con), my graphic design professor, my high school band teacher, and a couple con friends. After that angelica and i rushed back to the programing room where we prepared ourselves for William Shatner's Q&A. We started seating people an hour early and due to the Miss C4 contest happening right after his panel, angelica and charles were to be MIA for his panel which left me in charge of the room no complaints lol. I had lots of help from volunteers, photographers and security with keeping the room organized, had a bit of a freak out regarding possible plans that nobody was telling us (communication is very important) so i had to run to find mike to clear things up. Once i cleared things up i got ready, watching the clock so i knew when to give Mr.Shatner his 5 min warning to wrap up his Q&A. Now here comes the best moment of the con for me, i go up (in my spock costume) and grab his attention to say '5 mins', he sees me and says "5 minutes......You're all stomach......Thats fabulous look at that! Just turn around for us....That is so neat can you do the sign?...I can't do that, and Leonard would kill me if i do" EEEIII I GOT ATTENTION FROM WILLIAM SHATNER!!! *inner fangirl explosion* omg by far the greatest moment EVER!! i felt so special!! after his panel people left the room and we got ready for the Miss C4 contest which went well. After the contest we were done!! our work was finished, so i gathered up catlin and abby (my sexy kirk) and we went to get a picture taken of us with Willam Shatner, we also had a mini moment there where he commented on my bare stomach again lol. Once that finished we hung out, got changed, tore down the convention and called it a night!! when i got home i finally got to consume food which was delicious i tell ya, nothin tastier lol.

Well.....thats is, ended up writing more than i thought i would o.O chances are noones gonna read this lol, but regardless C4 2011 was by far the best thus far, and hopefully next year will be even better!!

So as probably non of you know i had terrible eye sight ><. I've had glasses since the first grade and have been wearing contacts since the tenth grade. I've hated the way I looked in glasses my whole life and contacts can be a hassle. Well as of recently i decided to change this, i got my eyes fixed!! lol i had laser eye surgery a week ago and it is wonderful!!! when i wake up i can see, i shower first thing in the morning i can see the shampoo label, when I'm out late my eyes dont burn from the contacts and make me sleepy....*sigh* its like a whole new world and to anyone whos thinking about getting it but not sure...i definately recommend!!!

for anyone who wants to know how it works, basically it takes about 10 mins lol. your eyes are numbed with drops so you dont feel a thing. they do one eye at a time, they suction your eye to cut the flap, that part is a little weird since it blocks your vision and you see black, but your brain knows your eye is open so its weird but it doesnt hurt. the laser itself only takes about 2 mins, i recommend breathing through your mouth when the laser is going cause the laser makes a terrible burning smell and even though its not your eyeball burning, its not a good smell to be smelling when something is zapping your eyeball lol. as soon as the procedure was finished i could distinguish peoples facial features from a distance which i could never do before .

Recovery isnt so bad either, the first day you have to wear sunglasses inside, outside, and to sleep. you cant watch tv, read, basically have any visual stimulation, i put gilmore girls in my dvd player (a show i loved and have seen a few times before) and put a towel over top of the tv. it was kinda a sad picture lol, me on my bed, sunglasses on, towel over the tv, and the room completely dark lol. after 24 hours your allowed to look at stuff again and you only have to wear sunglasses outside and to sleep (so you dont rub your eyes). after that its basically just be careful, no water in your eyes, try not to rub, no make up and all that. after 5 days you dont have to use drops anymore (steroids and antibiotics) and after 7 days your basically able to go back to normal, still being wary, no poking yourself in the eye lol.

overall it was beyond worth it, im so happy with the results!! eyesight is a wonderful thing
